Only choose one

I finally got all but two of the the teacher’s personal laser printers, Dell 1700n, set up at the high school. The two I couldn’t set up were due to the teacher’s having their desk too far away from a network jack. All the laser printers have to be networked so that I can trouble shoot them if I’m at another school, unless the network connection isn’t working. I emailed the two teachers and told them:

You either have to move your desk to a location that has multiple network outlets, so that your computer and laser printer can be networked, or you need to tell me another location in the room (near a network jack) that you want the printer set up. If you wish to move your desk, I will be happy to move your computer for you.

Simple enough because, since the printers are networked, they don’t have to be set up right next to the teacher’s workstation. Here are the replies I got back.

No problem.

Let’s get it done.

Hmmmm. I think I’ll just set the printers up on the opposite side of the room since neither one gave me an answer as to what they want to do.
