Do you want to play a game?
If you haven’t seen it, go out and rent Saw (official movie site). I watched it this past weekend and it has to be one of the best post-90’s psychological thillers. It doesn’t matter if you watch it in a dark room or a room with 1,000 100-watt light’s. This movie doesn’t try to scare you like when you were 9 and watched A Nightmare on Elm Street. This movie is one that makes you think and go “How the hell did this guy set it up?” and “What’s he going to do next?”.
Adam (Leigh Whannell) and Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) wake up chained to pipes at opposite ends of a dirty utility room. They soon learn that they have become the victims of the Jigsaw, a serial killer who devises intricate situations to get his victims to kill each other. Pitted against the clock and each other, the two must work to outwit their captor and save Gordon’s family, who have been taken hostage by the killer.
The only tip I can give you is: Don’t try to figure it out. Just sit back and watch it as the story unfolds all the way to the final credits.
