The government will tell them "We will only pay you X amount for that procedure." and who is the doctor to argue? Plus, look at all the other countries that have socialized medicine. The patients are lined up out the door because everyone goes to the doctor for every little sniffle they have. Why not? They aren't paying for it, the government is. I heard him talking about that on the radio and I'd be retiring on something like 500k. :) A lot of folks have been bringing up this universal healthcare stuff with me. When they do, I just tell them that I couldn't possibly trust the same government with my health that screwed up Iraq, cuts taxes for the wealthy, and so on.
