You just have to ask
My memory is horrible. A teacher can ask me about installing some software and I’ll forget it by the time I walk out of the room to go get the software. I’ve tried carrying around a notepad but where’s the tech factor of that?
Several people that work in the main office have Dell Axim’s. I was at the main office building one day, sitting in my boss’ office, and just threw out “Hey, I could do my job a lot better if I had one of the new Axim’s.” Keep in mind that I said that half in jest and half in hope. Imagine my shock when he said, “Oh, you want one? Here, I have this one that nobody’s used yet.”!!!!!! What he handed me was a brand new, in the box, Dell Axim x50v. This baby is sweet.
The main specs:
- Windows MobileTM 2003 Second Edition operating system
- Intel® XScaleTM PXA270 Processor at 624MHz
- 3.7″ color TFT VGA display (640×480)
- Integrated Intel® 2700G multimedia accelerator with 16MB video memory
- Integrated 802.11b and BluetoothTM Wireless Technologies
- 64MB SDRAM and 128MB Intel StrataFlash® ROM
- Integrated CompactFlash Type II and Secure Digital / SDIO Now! / MMC card slots
- VGA-Out Support
Pocket Excel comes in handy to keep my schools, room numbers and request in order. Now, maybe, I will be a little more efficient in getting work orders finished because I’ll have all the info with me instead of having to log on to a PC somewhere.
