AntiVir Classic 7 released

The latest version of AntiVir has finally gone out of beta and is available for download. Version 7 has a redesigned interface, optimized scanning and improved user controls. Scheduling task (updates & scans) is easier and actually looks like the AVG scheduler.

AntiVir is my #1 choice for antivirus protection, free or not, in Windows. The updates are frequent and the scanning is faster, from what I can tell, than AVG and avast!. So far, it has caught everything that has tried to get on my system. I still run a test scan occasionally on Trend Micro’s Housecall site but it hasn’t found anything so I’ll assume AntiVir is keeping my system clean.

AntiVir Premium (paid for version) isn’t available at this time. When it is made available, users of AV Premium will recieve the update via the AV Updater or they can download it from the website.
