Trying to finish

I’ve been working on a software review for the last three days and I can’t get it finished. It’s not due to lack of content. The reason I can’t get it done is because I want to include screenshots but I don’t want to reinstall the program on my personal laptop. Doesn’t that make perfect sense?

I’ll just install the program on my work laptop. It’s more of a test system anyway. :)

I think I’m going to start doing more reviews and how-to’s. Those are the kind of articles I really enjoy writing. The reviews will have to be about free software because 1) I don’t get products sent to me and 2) I’m a little light on funds (donations accepted). Who doesn’t like good, free software?

You could also install one of the various virtual machine applications — for Windows and Linux, VMWare Player and VMWare Server are both freely downloadable.

On VMWare Server at least, you can install whatever operating system you want, take a snapshot, install your application, play around with it, then roll back the snapshot and it’s like the installation never happened.

True. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before considering we use VMWare where I work. Doh! Thanks for the reminder. :)
